Grit blast cleaning:

• Aggressive but harsh cleaning that leaves abrasive effect on the surface since it scrapes/scratches the contaminant from the substrate.

• Grit media itself becomes a secondary contaminant and must be disposed of as toxic waste along with primary contaminant.

Ortech dry ice blast cleaning:

• Aggressive but gentle cleaning that leaves no abrasion on the surface since it lifts the contaminant from the substrate.
• Dry ice after impact sublimates and goes back to atmosphere without leaving any waste of its own, the only waste created is the contaminant itself.
